Bandsaw safety quiz

Fifteen questions on safe bandsaw operation, drawn from OSHA guidance and a decade of severe injury reports. Score 90% or higher and you can print a certificate for your training file.

What the quiz covers

The fifteen scored questions follow the topics OSHA inspectors and safety trainers care about most: operator training and authorization, pre-start checks, emergency stops, PPE, push sticks, guard height, hand placement, dull-blade reporting, clearing jams, blade breakage, interlocks, lockout/tagout, distractions, unattended saws and housekeeping. Answer options shuffle on every attempt, so retakes are a fresh test, not a memory exercise.

It works equally well as a self-check for operators, a refresher before recertification, or a toolbox-talk opener for supervisors. Reading the bandsaw safety rules guide first is the best way to pass it.

Common questions

Is the bandsaw safety quiz free?

Yes. Free, no signup, no email. Take it as often as you like.

What score do I need to pass?

90%, which is at least 14 of 15 questions. Miss the mark and the results screen lists exactly which topics to review before your next attempt.

Do I get a certificate?

Pass and you can print a personalized certificate with your name, company and a reference code. It documents that you completed this knowledge check. It is not a machine-operation license and does not replace hands-on training on your own equipment.

Can I use this for my team's training records?

Many supervisors file the printed certificates alongside their in-house training documentation. Your site's own training and sign-off requirements still apply.
